AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use Permit
at 355 Ridge Avenue
WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA)
conducted a public hearing on February 19, 1991, upon the
application of the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services, Inc.,
D/B/A St. Francis Hospital for a special hospital use to permit
construction of a one-story addition to be used as a magnetic
resonance imaging suite on property located at 355 Ridge Avenue,
in an R6 General Residence District; said public hearing having
been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the
manner prescribed by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended
that the application for said special use and variation be
granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and
testimony presented at the hearings, and
upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the
transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 90-58-
SU(R), the application of the Sisters of St. Francis Health
Services, Inc., D/B/A St. Francis Hospital for a special
hospital use to permit construction of a one-story addition to
be used as a magnetic resonance imaging suit on property located
at 355 Ridge Avenue, in a R6 General Residence District; and
legally described as follows:
LOT 21 EXCEPT THE EAST 669.00 FEET THEREOF, ALL OF LOT 3
AND THAT PART OF LOT 5 LYING NORTH OF A LINE 1462.61 FEET
NORTH OF AND PARALLEL WITH THE SOUTH LINE OF THE N.W. OF
SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE THIRD
PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COUNTY CLERK'S DIVISION OF
UNSUBDIVIDED LANDS IN THE N.W. OF SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 41
NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN,
(EXCEPTING THE WESTERLY 33.00 FEET OF SAID LOTS TAKEN FOR
RIDGE AVENUE).

this project with off-street parking in a designated area
on the hospital campus. j
i SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force
