HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1991-124-O-9112/3/91 124-0-91 AN ORDINANCE Granting Variations and a Special Use for the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Evanston at 1801 Emerson Street WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Board of Appeals conducted public hearings on November 19, 1991, upon the application of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church of Evanston for variations from the side yard and non -conforming building regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of an addition to the east side of the Church and for a special use to permit expansion of the Church, on its property at 1801 Emerson Street; said public hearings having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof in the • manner provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the application for the aforesaid variations and special use be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That, based upon the evidence and testimony presented at the hearing, and upon deliberations and findings of fact contained in the transcript of the Zoning Board of Appeals Case No. 91-28-V&SU(R), upon the application of the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church for variations from the side yard and non -conforming building 124-0-91 • regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of an addition to the east side of the Church and for a special use to permit expansion of the Church, on its property at 1801 Emerson Street, located in an R5 General Residence District, and legally described as follows: THE EAST 15 FT. OF LOT 22 AND ALL OF LOT 23 IN BLOCK 4 IN MCNEILL'S ADDITION TO EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 13, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 13, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, the application is granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following condition: The proposed construction shall be in substantial compliance with the testimony presented and the documents placed on file in connection with this case, • including, but not limited to, exhibit 1. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
