HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1991-065-O-91e • • • 65-0-91 AN ORDINANCE i� Amending Section 3-5-6 of the City Code of the City of Evanston, Relating to Liquor Licenses j ;i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Section 3-5-6 of the Code of the City of Evanston, 1979, as amended, i be and hereby it is further amended to read as follows: (C) CLASS C licenses, which shall authorize the retail sale in restaurants only of alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises where sold. No such license may be granted to or i retained by an establishment in which the facilities for food preparation and service are not primarily those of a restaurant, j as defined in Section 3-5-1 hereof. It shall be unlawful for any person licensed hereunder to sell alcoholic liquor at a bar, as i defined in Section 3-5-1 hereof, except to persons attending a j reception or party not open to the public. Alcoholic liquor may I be sold in restaurants holding class C licenses only during the j period when their patrons are offered a complete meal. The applicants for the renewal of such licenses may elect to pay the i amount required herein semi-annually or annually. Such election i shall be made at the time of application. The annual single payment fee for initial issuance or renewal of such license shall be .....................$2,250.00 The total fee required hereunder for renewal applicants electing to +� make semi-annual payments, payable pursuant to the provisions of Section 3-5-7 hereof, shall be ............ $2,363.00 j No more than sixteen (16) such licenses shall be in force at any one time.
