AN ORDINANCE
Accepting for Street Purposes Certain Land
along McDaniel Avenue owned by the
Regional Board of School Trustees
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
Evanston to widen and pave McDaniel Avenue between Dempster
Street and Greenwood Street; and
WHEREAS, certain land along the McDaniel Avenue right
of way between the Dempster Street and Greenwood Street is needed
for the aforesaid widening and paving; and
WHEREAS, The Regional Board of School Trustees is
• legal titleholder of the land in question for the use and
benefit of the Board of Education of Community Consolidated
School District 65, Cook County, Illinois.
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that The Regional Board of
School Trustees will approve the dedication of the land in
question to the City at its June 17, 1992 Meeting; and
and
WHEREAS, the dedication will be at no cost to the City;
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
accept the aforesaid dedication,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the aforesaid dedication by The
Regional Board of School Trustees of Cook

County of the rectangular portion of property, thirty-three feet
in width and five hundred fifteen and 87 one -hundredths feet in
length, lying west of, and adjacent to and parallel to McDaniel
Avenue between Greenwood Street and Dempster Street and legally
described as follows:
The east thirty-three feet of that part of
the southeast quarter of section 14, township
41 north, range 13 east of the third
principal meridian, lying north of the north
line of Dempster Street and South of the
north line of Greenwood Street extended
west, in Cook County, Illinois.
as set forth in a plat of dedication prepared by Illinois Land
Surveyor no. 1487, Herbert R. Smith, and to be acted on by the
Regional Board of School Trustees, be and hereby is accepted by
• the City Council of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: That the dedication property is hereby
dedicated as a public street.
SECTION 3: That a certified copy of this Ordinance,
together with a true and correct plat of
said dedication, be recorded at the Office of Recorder of Deeds
in Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
