AN ORDINANCE
Amending Section 7-12-7-1 of the
Evanston City Code (Water Rates and Charges)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON:
SECTION 1: That Section 7-12-7-1 of the City Code of the City of Evanston is
n hereby amended to read as follows:
7-12-7-1: RATES ESTABLISHED: The rates and charges to be paid by water
takers and consumers for the use of water shall be such as the City Council
shall, from time to time, by ordinance prescribe.
(A) All water sold, delivered or furnished through meters to consumers within the
City shall be paid for by such consumers at the following meter rates:
• Effective on all water bills issued on or after March 1, 1994:
Minimum service charge, including the first 700 cubic feet of water consumed in 2
months ........................................ $ 9.80
All cubic feet of water consumed in 2 months beyond the first 700 cubic
-feet ............................................. $1.32/100cu. ft.
(B) All water sold, delivered or furnished to the Village of Skokie shall be paid for
by the Village of Skokie at the following rates.
For the period March 1, 1994 through February 28, 1995 $0.80 per 1000
gallons delivered.
For the period March 1, 1995 and thereafter $0.81 per 1000 gallons
delivered.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
40 SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
