HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1997-113-O-97• 10/22/97 113-0-97 AN ORDINANCE Granting A Special Use to Permit Expansion of the Gross Floor Area of St. Francis Hospital at 800 Austin WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals ("ZBA") held a public hearing on September 181 1997 in case no. ZBA 97-27-SU(R), pursuant to proper notice on the application of St. Francis Hospital, property owner, for a special use to permit construction of an approximately 6770 square foot addition to the East Tower Building at 800 Austin Street and to renovate approximately 9020 square feet of the first floor of this building, all on property located in the R4/OH General Residential/Hospital Overlay District; and • WHEREAS, the ZBA after hearing testimony and receiving other evidence, made findings pursuant to section 6-3-5-10 of the Zoning Ordinance that the application met the standards for special uses, and recommended that the City Council grant the application, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the afore -described application of St. Francis Hospital is hereby granted and the findings and recommendations of the ZBA adopted, on property at 800 Austin Street, legally described in Attachment 1, made a part hereof. SECTION 2: That pursuant to section 6-3-5-12 of the Zoning Ordinance, which provides that the City Council may impose conditions upon the grant of a special use, these • conditions are hereby imposed: 1 113-0-97 a. Operation of the hospital will be in relative compliance with the testimony presented and documents placed on file in this case. • b. The applicant and the applicant's successor in title to the subject property shall not initiate any action to remove the property and improvements as expanded from the real estate property tax rolls. SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law.
