HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-2000-100-O-00n �J 08/16/2000 100-0-00 AN ORDINANCE Amending the Zoning Map to Rezone from 131 Business District to R3 Two -Family Residential District Certain Properties on the North Side of Simpson Street Between Darrow Avenue and Twiggs Park WHEREAS, the Plan Commission held a public hearing on August 9, 2000, pursuant to proper notice in case no. ZPC 00-7 to amend the Zoning Map to rezone the properties commonly known as 2102 Darrow Avenue, 1817 Simpson Street, 1821 Simpson Street, 1823 Simpson Street, 1825 Simpson Street, 1827 Simpson Street, 1829-1831 • Simpson Street, from the B1 Business District to the R3 Two -Family District; and WHEREAS, the Plan Commission heard testimony and received other evidence, made a written record of its proceedings, and pursuant to section 6-3-4-5 of the Zoning Ordinance, made findings that the proposed rezoning met applicable standards therefor, and recommended that the City Council approve rezoning of the afore -described properties from 131 Business District to R3 Two -Family District; and WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Committee of the City Council accepted the Plan Commission's report and recommendation at its September 11, 2000 meeting and recommended City Council approval thereof, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 0 EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: i[�I�ai3iI�] C7 SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals are found as fact and incorporated herein. SECTION 2: The recommendation and findings of the Plan Commission are adopted and the properties, designated above by their common addresses and legally - described below, are hereby rezoned from 131 Business District to R3 Two -Family Residential District: LOTS 1 AND 2 IN BLOCK 9 OF PAYNE'S ADDITION TO EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTHWEST '/4 OF THE SOUTHEAST'/4 OF SECTION 12-41-13; LOT 1 IN THE PLAT ON CONSOLIDATION OF LOT 3 AND PART OF LOT 4 IN SHIPLEY'S RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 9, 10, AND 11 AND THE EAST % OF VACATED STREET WEST AND ADJOINING SAID LOTS IN BLOCK 9 OF PAYNE'S ADDITION TO EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTHWEST'/4 OF THE SOUTHEAST'/4 OF SECTION 12-41-13; LOTS 10, 11, AND 12 IN TRAVER'S SUBDIVISION OF THE EAST • '/2 OF BLOCK 9 IN PAYNE'S ADDITION TO EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTHWEST'/ OF THE SOUTHEAST'/4 OF SECTION 12-41-13; AND THE EAST Y2 OF VACATED STREET WEST AND ADJOINING SAID LOT 1 IN THE PLAT OF CONSOLIDATION OF LOT 3 AND PART OF LOT 4 IN SHIPLEY'S RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 9, 10, AND 11 AND THEAST'/Z OF VACATED STREET WEST AND ADJOINING SAID LOTS IN BLOCK 9 OF PAYNE'S ADDITION TO EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTHWEST'/ OF THE SOUTHEAST'/4 OF SECTION 12-41-13, PINs 10-12-419-013, 10-12-419-014, 10-12-419-015, 10-12-419-006, 10-12-419-005, 10-12-419-016, and 10-12-419-002. SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. 0 SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage and approval.
