AN ORDINANCE
Amending the Zoning Map to Rezone from
C1 Commercial District to R5 Residential
District Certain Properties on the
North Side of Lincoln Street — Between
Green Bay Road and the First Alley to the West
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission held a public hearing on August 9, 2000,
pursuant to proper notice in case no. ZPC 00-8 to amend the Zoning Map to remove the
properties commonly known as 1809 Lincoln Street, 1813 Lincoln Street, 1817 Lincoln
Street, 1821 Lincoln Street, and 2500 Green Bay Road from the C1 Commercial District
is and remap them into the R5 General Residential District; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission heard testimony and received other evidence,
made a written record of its proceedings, and pursuant to section 6-3-4-5 of the Zoning
Ordinance, made findings that the proposed rezoning met applicable standards therefor,
and recommended that the City Council approve rezoning of the afore -described properties
from C1 Commercial District to R5 General Residential District; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Development Committee of the City Council accepted
the Plan Commission's report and recommendation at its September 11, 2000 meeting and.
recommended City Council approval thereof, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
0 EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals are found as fact and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2: The recommendation and findings of the Plan Commission are
adopted and the properties, designated above by their common addresses and legally -
described below, are hereby rezoned from C1 Commercial District to R5 General
Residential District:
LOTS 1 THROUGH 4 OF BOAL'S SUBDIVISION OF LOT 11 OF
BLOCK 16 OF NORTH EVANSTON, A SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 11
TO 16 AND THE WEST 4.3 ACRES OF LOT 17 IN GEORGE
SMITH'S SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH PART OF ARCHANGEL
OUILEMETTE RESERVE AND ALSO OF LOTS 1 AND 3 AND THAT
PART OF LOT 2 LYING BETWEEN THE CHICAGO & MILWAUKEE
RAILROAD AND THE WEST LINE OF LOT 3 PRODUCED TO THE
WEST LINE OF SECTION 12-41-13 OF ASSESSOR'S PLAT OF
EVANSTON; AND LOT 1 OF BLOCK 16 OF NORTH EVANSTON, A
SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 11 TO 16 AND THE WEST 4.3 ACRES OF •
LOT 17 IN GEORGE SMITH'S SUBDIVISION OF THE SOUTH PART
OF ARCHANGEL OUILEMETTE RESERVE AND ALSO OF LOTS 1
AND 3 AND THAT PART OF LOT 2 LYING BETWEEN THE
CHICAGO & MILWAUKEE RAILROAD AND THE WEST LINE OF
LOT 3 PRODUCED TO THE WEST LINE OF SECTION 12-41-13 OF
ASSESSOR'S PLAT OF EVANSTON, CONSISTING OF
PROPERTIES DESIGNATED BY PINs 10-12-200-022,
10-12-200-021, 10-12-200-020, 10-12-200-019 AND 10-12-200-018.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage and
approval.
