AN ORDINANCE
TAX LEVY ORDINANCE FOR THE TOWN OF EVANSTON
COOK COUNTY AND THE STATE ILLINOIS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL 1, 2003
AND ENDING MARCH 31, 2004
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF EVANSTON,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: In pursuance of authority vested in them by Section 13 of Article XIII of
"An Act to revise the law in relation to township organization," approved March 6, 1874, as
amended, the Board of Town Trustees, in meeting assembled, do hereby find and declare that
there will be required to be raised by general taxation the amounts hereinafter set down, to be
levied upon all taxable property in said town, in order to meet and defray all the necessary
expenses and liabilities of the Town and the amounts so required are itemized and needed for
uses and purposes as follows, to wit:

Making the amount to be raised by taxation and levied on all taxable property in said town, for
the uses and purposes aforesaid for the Town General Fund, the sum of $341,052.

Making the amount to be raised by taxation and levied on all taxable property in said Town, for
the necessary expenses and liabilities for General Assistance by the Town, for the sum of is$891,753.
Making the aggregate sum of ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED TWENTY SIX THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIVE DOLLARS ($1,232,805) to be raised by taxation and levied on
all taxable property in said Town, in order to meet and defray all the necessary expenses and
liabilities of the Town, as required in accordance with law.
And it is hereby directed that the aforesaid sum be raised by taxation in the manner provided by
law.
SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
