Radek, Superintendent Administrative Services SUBJECT: REVISED TO REFLECT DELETION OF TWO CARS Request to Declare City Property Surplus The intent of this memorandum is to request declaration by the City Council at its September 8 and September 22, 2003 meetings various items of City property as surplus so that the vehicles can be publicly offered for sale at the October 4, 2003, Lake County auction. We typically participate in two auctions each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. By selling these vehicles now, we reduce the storage time as well as get our items into the market place where they can receive more buyer interest and better resale value. • 1) Unit #137, a 1995 Ford aerostar van assigned to the Public Works Department, Parking Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Dodge 3/4 ton cargo van. 2) Unit #60 a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria, assigned to Patrol Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria. 3) Unit #135, a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, assigned to the Public Works Department, Parking Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 pickup truck with plow and spreader. 4) Unit #166, a 1999 Dodge pickup truck, assigned to the Public Works Department, Traffic Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F250 pickup truck. 5) Unit #643, a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, assigned to the Public Works Department, Street Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 pickup truck with plow. 6) Unit #917, a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, assigned to the Public Works Department, Water Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 pickup truck 0 with plow. 7) Unit #588, a 1999 8-foot trailer, assigned to the Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department that will not be replaced. 0 8) Unit #514, a 1995 Chevrolet 1-ton dump with plow, assigned to the Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department, Recreation Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 1-ton dump with plow. 9) Unit #516, a 1995 Chevrolet 1-ton dump with plow, assigned to the Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department, Recreation Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 1-ton dump. 10) Unit #541, a 1995 Chevrolet 1-ton dump with plow, assigned to the Parks, Forestry and Recreation Department, Forestry Division, has been replaced by a 2003 Ford F350 1-ton dump with plow. 11) From storage in the Municipal Service Center, twelve large plastic tubs originally purchased by the Traffic Engineering Division of the Public Works Department as temporary planters for traffic circles.
