Niehoff & Gannons Over Abandoned Railroad Tracks Between Pitner Avenue and Grey Avenue WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Evanston to extend Lee Street between Pitner Avenue and Grey Avenue; and WHEREAS, certain land, owned by C.E. Niehoff & Gannons over the abandoned railroad tracks between Pitner Avenue and Grey Avenue is needed for the aforesaid extension; and WHEREAS, C.E. Niehoff & Gannons is willing to dedicate to the City at no cost • the portion of land it owns over the abandoned railroad between Pitner Avenue and Grey Avenue for the aforesaid extension; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to accept the dedication from C.E. Niehoff & Gannons, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the portion of property, 109.83 feet in width and 72.49 feet in length, lying between Pitner Avenue and Grey Avenue, legally described as follows: PARCELI: THE NORTH HALF OF VACATED LEE STREET LYING PARALLEL • WITH AND 50.00 FEET NORTHWESTERLY AND 50.00 FEET °SOUTHEASTERLY, MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES, FROM THE CENTER LINE OF THE MAIN TRACK (NOW REMOVED) OF THE 80-0-03 • JUNCTION RAILWAY COMPANY (LATER THE CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN TRANSPORTATION COMPANY) AS SAID MAIN TRACK CENTER LINE WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED AND ESTABLISHED, ALL IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 13, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
