HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-2005-087-O-050 9/16/2005 9/1 /2005 7/20/2005 7/18/2005 87-0-05 AN ORDINANCE Amending Sections 3-5-11(E), (F) and (0) of the Evanston City Code Regulating the Presence of Minors at Certain Liquor License Establishments BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Sections 3-5-11(E), (F) and (G) of the City Code of the City of Evanston, 1979, as amended, are hereby further amended by deleting said Section in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following new Section: 0 3-5-11: SALES TO MINORS, CERTAIN PERSONS RESTRICTED: (E) It shall be unlawful for any holder of a liquor license, or his agent or employee, to suffer or permit any person under the age of twenty-one (21) to be or remain in any room or compartment adjoining or adjacent to or situated in the room or place where such licensed premises is located; provided, that this subsection shall not apply to employees of the licensed premises, any person under the age of twenty-one (21) who is accompanied by his or her parent or guardian, or to that portion of any licensed premises which derives its principal business from the sale of service or commodities other than alcoholic liquor. (F) Notwithstanding subsection (E) above, it shall be unlawful for any holder of a 131 liquor license, or his agent or employee, to suffer or permit any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years to be or remain anywhere on such licensed premises after the hour of twelve o'clock midnight (12:00 a.m.); provided that this subsection shall not apply to employees of the licensed premises, or to any person under the age of twenty-one (21) who is accompanied by the person's parent or guardian. (G) In addition to all otherfines and penalties, the local liquor control commissioner may revoke the liquor dealer's license for any violation of the above subsection. • (H) It shall be unlawful for any parent or guardian to permit any minor child under the age of eighteen (18) years to violate any provisions of this Section. 87-0-05 SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
