AN ORDINANCE
Dedicating for Alley Purposes Certain Land
Owned by Margaret Eissa
South of Simpson Street and East of Sherman Avenue
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Evanston to pave the
east alley of the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue; and
WHEREAS, certain land, owned by Margaret Eissa is needed for the
aforesaid paving; and
WHEREAS, Margaret Eissa is willing to dedicate to the City at no cost the
portion of land they own; and
• WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to accept the dedication
from Margaret Eissa,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the portion of property, 10.0 feet in width and 40.0 feet
in length, south of Simpson Street and east of Sherman Avenue, legally described
as follows:
THE WEST 10 FEET OF THE SOUTH 40 FEET OF LOT 4 IN BLOCK 4
IN THE VILLAGE (NOW CITY) OF EVANSTON IN SECTION 18,
TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
PIN 11-18-105-028 (part of)
• Part of 2020 Orrington Avenue
70-0-05
as set forth in a Plat of Dedication dated February 5, 2004, by Margaret Eissa, attached
to and incorporated into this Ordinance, be and hereby is accepted as, and dedicated
for, a public alley by the City Council of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a true
and correct plat of said dedication, be recorded at the Office of Recorder of Deeds in
Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
