HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-2005-064-O-05S • 5/31 /2005 64-0-05 AN ORDINANCE Dedicating for Alley Purposes Certain Land Owned by Andrew and Rachel Sollinger South of Simpson Street and East of Sherman Avenue WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Evanston to pave the east alley of the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue; and WHEREAS, certain land, owned by Andrew and Rachel Sollinger is needed for the aforesaid paving; and WHEREAS, Andrew and Rachel Sollinger are willing to dedicate to the City at no cost the portion of land they own; and • WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to accept the dedication from Andrew and Rachel Sollinger, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the portion of property, 10.0 feet in width and 45.0 feet in length, south of Simpson Street and east of Sherman Avenue, legally described as follows: THE WEST 10 FEET OF THE SOUTH 45 FEET OF LOT 3 IN BLOCK 4 IN THE VILLAGE (NOW CITY) OF EVANSTON, IN SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, PIN 11-18-105-026 (part of) 40 Part of 2026 Orrington Avenue r 64-0-05 LJ as set forth in a Plat of Dedication dated February 5, 2004, by Andrew and Rachel Sollinger, attached to and incorporated into this Ordinance, be and hereby is accepted as, and dedicated for, a public alley by the City Council of the City of Evanston. SECTION 2: That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a true and correct plat of said dedication, be recorded at the Office of Recorder of Deeds in Cook County, Illinois. SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pass e, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
