AN ORDINANCE
Dedicating for Alley Purposes Certain Land
Owned by Peter and Gail Lobin
South of Simpson Street and East of Sherman Avenue
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Evanston to pave the
east alley of the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue; and
WHEREAS, certain land, owned by Peter and Gail Lobin is needed for the
aforesaid paving; and
WHEREAS, Peter and Gail Lobin are willing to dedicate to the City at no
cost the portion of land they own; and
• WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to accept the dedication
from Peter and Gail Lobin,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the portion of property, 10.0 feet in width and 47.16
feet in length, south of Simpson Street and east of Sherman Avenue, legally described
as follows:
THE WEST 10 FEET OF THE NORTH 35 FEET OF LOT 3, AND THE
SOUTH 12.16 FEET OF LOT 2 IN BLOCK 4 IN THE ORIGINAL VILLAGE,
(NOW CITY) OF EVANSTON, FURTHER KNOWN AND DESCRIBED AS
2030 ORRINGTON AVENUE AND BEING SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 41
NORTH, RANGE 14, EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS,
• PIN 11-18-105-024 (part of) and PIN 11-18-105-025 (part of)
Part of 2030 Orrington Avenue

as set forth in a Plat of Dedication dated February 5, 2004, by Peter and Gail Lobin,
attached to and incorporated into this Ordinance, be and hereby is accepted as, and
dedicated for, a public alley by the City Council of the City of Evanston.
SECTION 2: That a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with a true
and correct plat of said dedication, be recorded at the Office of Recorder of Deeds in
Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
