AN ORDINANCE
Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate a Sale of
425 Dempster Street In Evanston, Illinois, and Authorizing the
Prblication of a Notice of Intent to Sell Certain Real Estate
(Chiaravalle Montessori School)
.BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City'Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to negotiate the sale of the City's interests in the real estate, legally described in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and commonly
is known as 425 Dempster Street in Evanston, Illinois (hereinafter, the "Property")
SECTION 2: Pursuant to City Code Section 1-17-4-2 (B), an
affirmative vote of two-thirds (%) of the elected Aldermen is required to accept the
recommendation of the City Manager on the negotiation authorized herein. The City
reserves the right to reject any and all negotiations.
SECTION 3: Pursuant to City Code Section 1-17-4-2 (B), Notice of
Intent to Sell Certain Real Estate by Negotiation must be published at least once in
a daily or weekly newspaper in general circulation in the City. The publication must
not be less than fifteen (15), nor more than thirty (30) days before the date on which
the City Council shall consider adoption of the ordinance approving the sale by
0 negotiation of the Property.

SECTION 4: That in the Notice of Intent to Sell, the Property shall be
substantially as shown in Exhibit A.
SECTION 6: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6: That this Ordinance 76-0-08 shall be in full force and
effect from and • after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner
provided by law.
SECTION 7: That if any provision of this.Ordinance 76-0-08 or
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held_ unconstitutional or
otherwise.invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of
this Ordinance 76-0-08 that can be given effect without the invalid application or
provision, and each invalid application of this Ordinance is severable.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SELL
CERTAIN REAL ESTATE INTERESTS BY NEGOTIATION
Public Notice is hereby given that on September 22, 2008 at 8:30 PM in the City
Council Chambers at 2100 Ridge Avenue, the Evanston Civic Center, the Evanston
City Council will consider for approval a real estate contract for the sale of the City's
interest in all of the following legally described real estate, to wit:
LOTS 10 THROUGH 15 INCLUSIVE, IN BLOCK 37'IN EVANSTON, IN SECTION
18, TOWNSHIP 41 NORTH, RANGE 14 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.
PINs: 11-18-419-032.and 11-18-419-033 (portions)
Commonly known as: 425-Dempster Avenue, Evanston, Illinois
Said property is presently occupied and will be used for the purposes as set forth in
the underlying real estate sales contract as allowed by the City Zoning Ordinance.
