HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-2008-054-O-08• Effective date: May 13, 2008 54-0-08 AN ORDINANCE 4/8/2008 Amending Section 3-5-6(D) of the City Code of the City of Evanston to Decrease the Number of Class D Liquor Licenses from Twenty -Four to Twenty -Three ("Viva Le Crepe", 1565 Sherman Avenue) BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That Section 3-5-6(D) of the Evanston City Code of 1979, as amended, is hereby further amended by decreasing the number of Class D liquor licenses from twentv-four (24) to -twentv-three (23), to read as follows: r� U 3-5-6(D): CLASS D licenses, which shall duplicate class C licenses in all regards except that beer and/or wine only shall be served. It shall be unlawful for any person licensed hereunder to sell "alcoholic liquor" at a "bar," as defined in section 3=.5-1 of .this chapter, except to persons attending a reception or party not open to the public. The applicants for the renewal only of such licenses may elect to pay the amount required herein semiannually or annually. Such election shall. be made at the time of application. The annual single payment fee for initial issuance or renewal of such license shall be one thousand eight hundred dollars ($1,800.00). The total fee required hereunder for renewal applicants electing to make semiannual payments, payable pursuant to the provisions of section 3-5-7 of this chapter, shall be one thousand eight hundred ninety dollars (1,890.00). No more than twentv-three (23) such licenses shall be in force at any one time. 0 SECTION 2: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict • herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance 54-0-08 shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law.
