AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Special Use With Respect to Property
Located at 944 Elmwood Avenue, Evanston, Illinois
WHEREAS, on November 4, 1975 and December 16, 1975 the Zoning Board of

;!Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the application of the Fisher Memorial
1AME Zion Church for a special use to allow construction of a new church on

(!the property located at 944 Elmwood Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, an R3 Two -Family
i
Residence District, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice

nand publication thereof as provided by law; and

WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief
f
,be granted;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON,
;'COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
`j SECTION 1: That the application of the Fisher Memorial AME Zion Church
i for a special use to permit construction of a new church on
if '
the property located at 944 Elmwood Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and legally
,described as
i!
Lot 1 and the North 46 feet of Lot 2 in Block 7 in Union Addition to
Evanston in the Northwest Quarter of Section 19,.Township 41 North,
Range 14 East of the Third Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois
!is hereby granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning f
Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following conditions:
1.) That seven (7) off-street parking spaces shall be installed on the
subject property and the remaining thirteen (13) off --street parking spaces
i
,required for the Church shall be supplied at any legal location as provided in
`Section X.B.10.1 of the Zoning Ordinance;
ii
2.) That a covenant of agreement to the terms and conditions herein be
submitted in recordable form by the applicant herein.
SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby ordered and
!� directed to grant such permits as shall be required to
'effectuate the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by
law.
