HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1976-108-O-7612/2/76, 12/9/76 1/21./77, 3/3/77 108-0-76 AN ORDINANCE Gra.nting A Special Use Permit For The Retention Of A Chess Club On Property Commonly Known As 903 Blain Street, Evanston, Illinois WHEREAS, on October 26,.1976 and November 16,, 1976 the Zoning Board of -Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the application of the contract purchaser, Clifford C. King, to permit the retention of a cress club upon the premises commonly known as 903 Main Street, Evanston, Illinois, a B-2 Business District, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such re- lief be granted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: #� SECTION 1: That the application of Clifford C. King for a special use permit to permit the retention of the use as a chess club in the basement of the premises located at 903 Main Street., Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as: Lot 12 and Lot 13 (except the East 20 feet of Lot 13) in George W. Huntoon's Addition to South Evanston., in the West 24 acres of the South East quarter (1/4) of the North-West quarter (1/4) of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Plerid- ian, in Cook County, Illinois. E�] G 40 108-0-76 be and hereby is granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws and the following conditions: 1. That the use of the subject basement area shall be restricted to use as a chess club, and to the building tenants of the aforesaid property for recreational purposes; 2. That occupancy of the subject basement area shall be restricted to forty (40) people; 00"- 3. That the special use shall not be effective nor shall occupancy of the basement area be resumed until a certificate of use and occupancy shall have been issued by the Director of Inspections and Permits V 4. That a covenant of agreement to the aforesaid terms and condi- tions shall be submitted in recordable form executed by the applicants.
