AN ORDINANCE
Granting Certain Variations and a Special
Use With Reference to Property Located at
1835 Brown Avenue, Evanston, Illinois
WHEREAS, on September 21, 1976 and October 26, 1976 the
Zoning Board of Appeals conducted a Public Hearing upon the,
application of the Tabernacle Baptist Church for variations
from the control over bulk, floor area ratio, front yard, side
yard, rear yard, and off-street parking (with respect to loca-
tion), provisions of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance adopted
November 21, 1960, as they apply to the property located at
1835 Brown Avenue, Evanston, Illinois an R-5 General Residence
District, and for a special use to permit construction of an
addition on the aforesaid property, said Public Hearing having
• been conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that
such relief be granted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS-,
SECTION 1: That the application of the Tabernacle Baptist
Church for variations from the control over
bulk, floor area ratio, front yard, side yard, rear yard, and
off-street parking (with respect to location), provisions of

for a special use to permit construction of an addition to the
existing church on the property located at 1835 Brown Avenue,
Evanston, Illinois and legally described as:
Lots 11, 12, and 13 in Block 1 in-J. S. Hovland's
Evanston Subdivision of the Southeast One -quarter
(k) of the Northwest One -quarter (4) of Section 13,
Township 41 North, Range 13, East of the Third
Principle Meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
be and hereby is granted subject to compliance with all other
provisions of the zoning ordinance and other applicable laws.
SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is
hereby ordered and directed to grant such
permits as shall --be required to effectuate the provisions of
this ordinance.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval
in the manner provided by law.
