HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1976-085-O-76• • • Amending Section IV.H.5. of the Zoning Ordinance with Reference to Accessory Buildings and Uses WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Amendment Committee has on July 1, 1976, August 4, 1976 and September 2, 1976 conducted a public hearing to consider the amendment of Section IV.H.5. of the Zoning Ordinance to permit accessory buildings located in residential districts to exceed the present twelve foot height limitation in orderto accommodate recreational vehicles, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice published in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Evanston Zoning Amendment Committee has reported its findings and recommendations to the City Council of the City of Evanston: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That subsection 5. of Section IV.H:. of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Evanston, 1960, as amended, be and hereby is further amended to read as follows: 1'5. No accessory building shall exceed fourteen and one-half (14 1/2) feet in height for a flat roof or mansard roof, or seventeen and one-half (17 1/2 ) feet for all other roofs." SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, publication, and approval in the manner 9 provided by law.
