I' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY,

ILLINOIS: I

SECTION 1: All that portion of the public alley in the block bounded by
Foster Street, Ashland Avenue, Simpson Street, and Jackson
i; Avenue and legally described as:
If That part of the North and South public alley in Block 3 in Grant and
Jackson's Addition to Evanston, lying south of the northerly line of
Lot 10 extended east and Northwesterly of the Northwesterly, right-of-
way line of the Chicago and North Western Railway, all in the Northeast
fI Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range
if 13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
as described in a plat of vacation attached hereto and made a part hereof for
greater certainty be and the same hereby is vacated and closed, inasmuch
as the corporate authorities of the City of Evanston have determined that
' the public interest will be served by such vacation of said public alley and
{ is sustantial warrant for such vacation. I
SECTION 2: The City of Evanston hereby reserves to itself and to all

i+ public utilities owning public service facilities such rights
i
of way, license and easement rights to such equipment as is presently in-
stalled and located on those portions of the public right of way hereby closed
I
together with the right of ingress and egress for the maintenance, renewal
and construction thereof.

SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith

are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.,
