WHEREAS, on December 16, 1975, January 20, 1976, and February 17, 1976 the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Evanston, Illinois conducted Public` i Hearings upon the application of Carol Buick, Inc. for a special use to -permit: an open sales lot upon property located at 1137 Chicago Avenue, Evanston, Illi�_ i nois, a C2 commerical district, said public hearing having been conducted • I pursuant to notice as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief be granted: j NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF J EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION l: That the application of Carol Buick, Inc. for a special use permit to allow establishment of an open automobile sales lot on the property located at 1137 Chicago Avenue, and legally described as: I That part of Lot 21, in Block 77, in the Subdivision by the Northwestern University of the North half, of the North half i East of Chicago Avenue, of Section 19, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian (except 15-1/2 acres in the Northeast corner) described as follows; commenc- ing at the southwest corner of said lot running thence north along the street, 44 feet; thence in an easterly direction to ` the east line of said lot to a point 36 feet north of the southeast corner of said lot; thence south to the southeast corner of the lot; thence west along the south line of said lot to the place of beginning, all in Cook County, Illinois i be granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordi- nance and other applicable laws and the following conditions: f 1. Prior to institution of the proposed use, the applicant shall submit ii to the Planning and Development Committee a landscape plan which meets ! !i the approval of said Committee. I 3. That landscaping on City property shall be donated to the City and shall be maintained by the Evanston Motor Company, Inc. SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby directed to grant such permits as shall be necessary to effectuate the !' provisions of this ordinance. i SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
