AN ORDINANCE
Granting a Variation from the Use
Regulations of the Zoning Ordinance
to Permit Light Assembly, Packaging
and Crating on Property Located at
823 Emerson Street
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1975, and February 18, 1975, the Zoning Board of
Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the application of Yeranick Ipjian for
a variation from the use regulations of the Evanston Zoning Ordinance, adopted
November 1, 1960, as amended, to permit light assembly, packaging and 'crating
on property located in a C2 Commercial District, said public hearing having beell
conducted pursuant to notice and publication thereof as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief be
granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVAN-
STON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the application of Yeranick Ipjian for a variation from
the use regulations of the Zoning Ordinance to permit light
assembly, packaging and crating on the second floor of the building on the prop-
erty located at 823 Emerson Street, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described a:;:
Lot 10 (except the West 40 feet thereof) and all of Lot 11 in
Paul Pratt's Addition to Evanston, a subdivision of the West
8-1/2 acres of the South half, Northeast quarter, Northwest
quarter of Section 8-41-14, also the South 25.3 feet of Lot 14
in Huse and Power's Addition to Evanston, a subdivision of Lot
17 in Assessor's Division of Section 8-41-14, East of the Third
Principal Meridian in Cook County, Illinois,
be granted subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning Ordi-
nance aqd other applicable laws, and the following conditions:
1) that the variation be limited to operations of the Chicago Workshop
for the Retarded, as set forth in the Zoning Board of Appeals test-
imony; and
2) that a covenant of agreement to the above terms and conditions herein
be submitted in recordable form -,by the applicants;
all in accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals.
SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections is hereby ordered and -directed to
grant such permits as shall be required to effectuate the pro-
visions of this ordinance.

SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided�by law.
