HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES-1975-011-O-75t • r1 • Amended 2-10-75 11-0-75 AN ORDINANCE Granting a Special Use Permit to Reba Place Fellowship, Inc., for the _ Property Located at 701-11 Monroe Street and 718 Custer Avenue WHEREAS, on December 17, 1974, and January 21, 1975,.the Zon- ing Board of Appeals conducted a public hearing upon the applica- tion of Reba Place Fellowship, Inc. for a special use to permit: 1) use of a portion of the property as a playground to serve a nursery school; and 2) construction of a fence to be located in a required front yard;, on premises located in an R2 Single Family Residence District; said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to notice and publi- cation thereof as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that the special use permit be granted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the application of Reba Place Fellowship, Inc. for a special use permit to allow: 1) use of a portion of the property as a playground to'serve the nursery school located approximately one block to the north on Custer Avenue; and 2) the installation of a screening fence in the required front yard area; on the property located at 701-11 Monroe Street and 718 Custer Avenue, Evanston, Illinois, and legally described as: The South 48 feet of Lot 1, the South 48 feet of the East half of Lot 2, the West half of Lot 2, and all of Lot 3, in Block 1 in Adams and Wheeler's addition to Evanston, a Subdivi- sion of the South half of the South half of the North half of the Southwest quarter of Section 19,.Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the Third Principal meridian in Cco'. Countty, Illinois, be.granted, subject to compliance with all.other provisions of the r ;3 11-0-75 -2- Zoning Ordinance, other applicable laws, and the following condi- tions: 1. The fence shall be installed in accordance with the site plan submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals and identified as exhibit 3, and shall be limited to five feet in height; and .2. upon termination of the use of the playground by the nur- sery school, said fence shall be removed from the property; and 3. that a covenant of agreement to these conditions be sub- mitted in recordable form by the appellant. SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby ordered and directed to grant such permits as shall be required to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
