Amending Section 27-97 of the Code of the City
of Evanston, 1957, as Amended, Regulating
All Night Parking

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, i

ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That Subsection D of Section 27-97 of the Code of the City
l
of Evanston, 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby

further amended so as to read as follows:

"D DISTRICT FOUR: All that part of the City lying north of the north
'
line of Lake Street and south of a line commencing at a point being
the, intersection of the west line of McCormick Boulevard and the
!�
south line of Elgin Road and thence north, northeasterly along said
west line, thence becoming the north line of McCormick Boulevard to
the east line of Bridge Street, thence east, southeasterly along the
east line of Bridge Street to its intersection with the north line
of Simpson Street and thence easterly along the north line of Simpson
Street and the same extended to the east City limits; also that part
of Sherman Avenue extending north from the north line of Simpson
Street to the south line of Colfax Street:
1. Between the hours of two o'clock AM (2:00 AM) and six o'clock AM
(6:00 AM).
On the
a) south side of all streets and public thoroughfares
extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on
the west side of all streets extending in a general northerly
and southerly directon on each Tuesday.

b) On the north side of all streets and public thoroughfares
extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on
the east side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending
in a general northerly and southerly direction on each Friday."

SECTION 2: That Subsection E of Section 27-97 of the Code of the City
of Evanston, 1957, as amended, be and the same is hereby
further amended so as to read as follows:

"E DISTRICT FIVE: All that part of the City lying north of the north
line of Simpson Street and the same extended east to the east City limits
and east of the line commencing at a point being the intersection of the
north City limits and the center of the right-of-way of the Milwaukee
Division of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway and thence south easterly
along the center of the aforesaid right-of-way to the intersection
thereof with the north line of McCormick Boulevard as extended east and
thence southwesterly along the north line of McCormick Boulevard to
its intersection with the east line of Bridge Street and thence easterly
along said east line of Bridge Street to the intersection of the north
line of Simpson; provided, however, that that portion of Sherman Avenue
which extends from the north line of Simpson Street to the south line
of Colfax Street shall be excluded therefrom:

1. During the months of April, May, June,.July, August, -September,
October, November, between the hours of two o'clock AM (2:00 AM)
j and six o'clock AM (6:00 AM).

b) On the north side of all streets and public thoroughfares
extending in a general easterly and westerly direction, and on
the east side of all streets and public thoroughfares extending
in a general northerly and southerly directon on each Friday.
2. During the months of December, January, February and March,
between the hours of two o'clock AM (2:00 AM) and six o'clock AM
(6:00 AM).
a) On the south side of all streets extending in'a general
easterly and westerly direction and on the west side of all streets,
extending in a general northerly and southerly direction on
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week.
b) On the north side of all streets extending in a general easterly
` and westerly direction and on the east side of all .streets extending
in a general northerly and southerly direction on Tuesday, Thursday,
and Saturday of each week."
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30)
days from and after its passage, approval and publication
in the manner provided by law. The regulations existing at the time of the
adoption of this ordinance shall remain in effect until the appropriate signs
signifying the changes are installed.
