AN ORDINANCE.
Vacating the U-shaped Alley falling within the
` Block Bounded by Grove Street, Sherman
Avenue, Davis Street and C.T.A. Right -of -Way
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County
Illinois;
SECTION 1: That those portions of property dedicated as public ways
being a U-shaped alley falling within the block bounded
by Grove Street., Sherman Avenue, Davis Street and the C.T.A. right-of-way and
legally described as:
The following public alleys in Block 64 of Evanston in the Southwest
Quarter of Section 18, Township 41 North, Range 14, East of the
}s Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:
f' That part of the 18 foot North -South public alley, more particularly
described as, the East 18 feet of the West 126.50 feet of Lot 7
in Langworthy's Subdivision of said Block 64; also,
That part of the original 14 foot public alley lying between Lots
t' 7 and 8 in Langworthy's Subdivision of"said Block 64 described as
0. the East 18 feet of the West 126.50 feet of said alley; also,
That part of the 18 foot North -South public alley, more particularly
described as the North 36 feet of the East 18 feet of that part of
Lot 8 in Langworthy's Subdivision of said Block 64 lying West of and
contiguous to a line parallel with and 126.50 feet East of the West
line of Lot 7 in said Langworthy's Subdivision, extended South; also,

That.part of a 14 foot East-West public alley created by the Trustees
of the Village (now City) of Evanston, per plat recorded
i' June 10, 1870 as document 55753, lying East of and contiguous to a
line parallel with and 108.50 feet East of the West line of Lot 7 in
Langworthy's Subdivision of said Block 64, extended South; also,

That part of said Block 64 dedicated for public_ alley by document
15440437 in Book 4 of Plats, pages 56 and 57, all in Cook County,
Illinois
,
it be and the same is hereby vacated and closed inasmuch as the corporate
authorities of the City of Evanston have deemed that the public interest will
be subserved by vacating those portions of the public alleys hereinabove
descried.
SECTION 2: The City of Evanston hereby reserves to itself and to all
public utilities owning public service facilities such
i rights -of -way, license and easement rights to subject equipment as are presently
installed and located on those perticns of the public right-of-way hereby

;;closed together with the right of ingress and egress for. the maintenance,
renewal and reconstruction thereof.

SECTION 3: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith

SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
