AN ORDINANCE
An Ordinance Vacating a Portion of Oak Avenue -1 `'C 3
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY,
• ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That those portions -of property dedicated as public ways
ii
being a portion of Oak Avenue, a public street, commencing
z!from the North property line of Crain Street, in a 66 foot right of way
!extending approximately 180 feet on said Oak Avenue and legally described as: ,

t` jr That part of Oak Avenue in the City of Evanston, Illinois
lying Northerly of the South line of Lot 12 and South of the '
North line of.Lot 14, both extended West, in Block 1 of ►
! Crain's Subdivision of the North half of the Northwest quarter
I of the Northwest quarter of Section 19, Township 41 North,
f Range 14, East of the Third Principal Meridian; all in Cook !
County, Illinois.

be and the same is hereby vacated and closed in as much as the corporate
i
{ authorities of the City of Evanston have determined that the public interest
will be subserved by vacating those portions of the public street hereinabove
described.
SECTION 2: The City of Evanston hereby reserves.to itself and to all
public utilities owning public service facilities such
rights of way, license and easement rights to such equipment as are presently
i.
installed and located on those portions of the public right of way thereby
closed together with the right of ingress and egress for the maintenance,
renewal and construction thereof.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law
