Granting variations from the use, building lot
coverage and gross lot coverage provisions of
the Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of
• a building to house a handball and racquetball
facility on property located at 1101 Dodge Avenue
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1975, the Zoning Board of Appeals conducted
a public hearing upon the application of Cities Service Oil Company (owner)
and Marlys Sperger (contract purchaser) for variations from the use, building
K lot coverage and gross lot coverage regulations of the Evanston Zoning
Drdinance adopted November 1, 1960, as amended, to permit construction of a
iandball and racquetball facility on property located in a R5A General
tesidence District, said public hearing having been conducted pursuant to
iotice and publication thereof, as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended that such relief
;)e granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
• SECTION 1: That the application of Cities Service Oil Company (owner)
t and Marlys Sperger (contract purchaser) for variations
'rom the use, building lot coverage and gross lot coverage provisions of the
Zoning Ordinance to permit construction of a building to house a handball
xnd racquetball facility on the property located at 1101 Dodge Avenue,

=vanston, Illinois, and legally described as:
Lot 7 and 8 in Block 9 in Chase and Pitner's addition
to Evanston, being a subdivision of the Northwest
quarter of'the Northeast quarter of Section 24, and
the South half of the Southwest Quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 13, Township 41 North, Range
13, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook
County, Illinois,
be granted, subject to compliance with all other provisions of the Zoning
rdinance, other applicable laws and the conditions that the property shall be
jnproved as indicated in the revised plan dated April 8, 1975, submitted to

� �he Zoning Board of Appeals and identified as exhibit No. 6, provided, however,
that the landscaping shall be installed substantially in accordance with the

first plan submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals and identified as exhibit
No. 3; that plans for said landscaping shall be approved by the Planning and i
Development Committee, prior to the issuance of any building permit, except
for permits for the foundations and for wrecking; and that any screening of
i
the parking lot required by the Zoning Ordinance shall be supplied, all in
accordance with the recommendations of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

SECTION 2: The Director of Inspections and Permits is hereby ordered
and directed to grant such permits as shall be required
to effectuate the provisions of this ordinance.

SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by
1 aw.
