Mr. Oberwise briefly reviewed the October 1 workshop meeting of the City Council where the City’s vision statement “Creating the most livable City in America” was developed. Using material generated from that meeting, the Council and staff prioritized suggested goals. Council members and staff then met in groups and set broad 5-10 year goals and 18- month objectives for economics and infrastructure, neighborhood/social services/natural resources, governance/ government services and partnerships. Staff will meet on November 11 to work on implementation and do some broad financial planning and come back with a macro plan and financial implications. Mr. Oberwise stated in January they would have staff talk about the implementation plan and the plan will be reviewed at a public gathering. The last step will be approval of the plan, so there would be a series of meetings at the approval stage in February. Staff and Executive Partners will create the plan. The workshop ended at 1:57 p.m. Mary P. Morris, City Clerk
