A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to Sign a Local Public Agency
Engineering Services Agreement with Kimley-Horn for the Green Bay
Road Corridor Improvement Project Phase 11 Engineering
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston and illinois Department of Transportation
(hereinafter "IDOT'), in the interest of improving the Green Bay Road Corridor, are
desirous of resurfacing the street, upgrade streetscape, construct ADA Ramps, upgrade
street lighting and modernize signals, said improvement to be identified as State Section
Number: 19-00285-00-RS, State Job Number: D-91-143-21, and Project Number:
C9B6(761), hereinafter referred to as the "Project"; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto are desirous of said Project in that same will
be of immediate benefit to the residents of the area and will be permanent in nature; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and the City of Evanston wish to avail
themselves of federal funds committed to fund the Phase 11 engineering services
necessary for this Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined it is
in the best interests of the City to enter into the local agency agreement with said
parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to the Local Public Agency Engineering Services
Agreement for Green Bay Road Corridor Improvement Project Phase II Engineering
with Kimley-Horn & Associates, attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION 2: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
negotiate any additional conditions of the Local Public Agency Engineering Services
Agreement and the City of Evanston Professional Services Agreement as they may
determine to be in the best interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution 115-R-21 shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
