HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-2009-002-R-0912/17/2008 • 2-R-09 A RESOLUTION Amending the 2007 and 2008 Community Development Block Grant Programs and Authorizing the Reallocation of Unexpended Funds WHEREAS, in a review of completed projects funded by Community Development Block Grant programs in prior years, fifty-six thousand, forty-eight dollars ($56,048.00) in unexpended funds has been identified from completed projects for reallocation to other eligible CDBG activities to address needs in the year ahead, and to maintain timely use of funds per United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines; and 0 WHEREAS, the FY 2007 and FY 2008 Community Development Block Grant program activities, for which the Evanston City Council directed the City Manager to file an application with HUD, were approved by HUD, and reallocation of said funds requires amendment of the City's FY 2007 and FY 2008 CDBG applications; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston did publish the thirty (30) -day comment period from December 8, 2008, through January 7, 2009, and the City's Housing and Community Development Act Committee did hold a public meeting on December 16, 2008, to hear public opinion on said proposed reallocations according to the CDBG Program's Citizen Participation Plan; is 2-R-09 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: • SECTION 1: That the City's FY 2007 and FY 2008 applications for Community Development Block Grant program activities are hereby amended, and fifty- six thousand, forty-eight dollars ($56,048.00) is approved for reallocation to the City's FY 2009 / FY 2010 CDBG program: Program Year Project 2007 CDBG Administration 2007 Graffiti Removal 2007 Housing Rehab Administration 2007 Housing Advocacy 2007 MM//EBE 2007 Family Focus 2007 Blue Heron Theatre 2008 Family Focus TOTAL AMOUNT PROPOSED FOR REALLOCATION to FY 2009 / FY 2010 CDBG PROGRAM: Amount $ 14,761.00 $ 12.00 $ 8.00 $ 16.00 $ 2,151.00 $ 6,600.00 $ 2,500.00 $ 30,000.00 $ 56,048.00 • SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals are hereby found as fact and made a part hereof.
