• A RESOLUTION
Upon the Occasion of the Retirement of
Alderman Dennis R. Drummer
WHEREAS, Dennis R. Drummer served as Alderman of the Second Ward
of the City of Evanston during the years 1984 through 2001:
and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as Alderman he served as a member of the
Administration and Public Works Committee, the Planning and Development Committee,
the Human Services Committee, the Unified Budgeting panel, the City Chamber Liaison
Committee, the Police Services Committee, the Mayor's Task Force on the Homeless,
Task Force on Gangs and Youth Problems, the Blue Ribbon Committee on the Homeless,
the Research Park Relocation sub -Committee, the Mayor's Committee on the Special
Housing Fund, the Committee on Committees, the Housing Commission, the Mayor's
Employment Training Committee, the Sister City Committee, the Township Committee,
the Budget Policy Committee, the Research Park Advisory Board, the Rules Committee,
the Economic Development Committee, the Flood and Pollution Control Commission,
the TOPCORP Board, The Northwestern University Evanston Research Park Board and
as the Chair of the Housing and Community Development Act Committee; and
• WHEREAS, Dennis R. Drummer has served the citizens of his ward, as
well as the citizens of the entire City with distinction, giving most liberally of his time,
energy and ability;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Evanston on behalf of itself, the Mayor, City Manager, City Officials and the residents
of this community, does hereby express great appreciation to Alderman Dennis R.
Drummer for his service to the City of Evanston, and regret the occasion of his voluntary
retirement as Alderman.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be made a part of the
permanent records of the City of Evanston and that a copy, executed by the Mayor and
attested by the City Clerk, be sent to said Dennis R. Drummer.
