A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an
Agreement with School District 65
for Parking Spaces in Lot 35
WHEREAS, the City is an Illinois municipal corporation organized and operating
pursuant to the laws of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, School District 65 is a school district organized and operating pursuant
to the laws of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, units of local government and school districts may contract and
associate among themselves pursuant to Article VII, Section 10 of the Illinois Constitution,
Qand the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 5 ILCS 220/1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the School District owns and operates an elementary school, known
as Lincoln Elementary School at 910 Forest Avenue in Evanston, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the School District has determined, in conjunction with the renovation
of the Lincoln playgrounds and the return of one parking area at Lincoln to grassy play
space, that it would be desirable to arrange for additional parking for staff of the School
District employed at Lincoln; and
WHEREAS, the City owns and operates a municipal parking lot immediately to the
west of Lincoln, known as Lot 35; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that its best interests are served by making
parking spaces available in Lot 35 for the staff of Lincoln in accordance with the terms
hereof,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign and
the City Clerk, hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston,
an Agreement with School District 65 for parking spaces in Lot 35 attached hereto as
Exhibit A.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
any additional conditions of the Agreement as may be determined to be in the best
interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage and approval in the manner required by law. 0
