A RESOLUTION ENDORSING AN APPLICATION TO
COOK COUNTY FOR AN ASSESSMENT REDUCTION
FOR REAL ESTATE LOCATED AT 2100 — 2112 GREENWOOD
EVANSTON, ILLINOIS TO BE PURCHASED
BY SPACE ORGANIZATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston desires to promote the development of
industry in the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, the Cook County Assessor has instituted a program to
encourage industrial and commercial development in Cook County known as the
Cook County Real Property Classification Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, Space Organization will apply for Class 6b property status
pursuant to the aforementioned Ordinance for certain real estate located at 2100-
• Greenwood, in the City of Evanston Cook Count Illinois, Property Index

Number 10-13-322-038, and has presented evidence satisfactory to the City that
such incentive is necessary for development and occupancy to occur on this
specific real estate.
WHEREAS, the subject property has been vacant for more than two
years, has experienced declining equalized assessed valuation, and is in a
deteriorating physical condition.
WHEREAS, Space Organization has agreed to participate in an internship
program with Evanston Township High School, engage in local hiring and to
affirmatively market employment opportunities to Evanston residents.
• WHEREAS, the Economic Development Committee on April 27, 2005
recommended that the City Council adopt a resolution endorsing a 6b

• assessment reduction for 2100-2112 Greenwood to be owned and occupied by
Space Organization, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the foregoing recitals are found as fact and made a part
hereof.
Section 2. That the request of Space Organization to have certain real
estate located at 2100-2112 Greenwood, Evanston, Cook County, Illinois,
with the Property Index Number 10-13-322-038 declared eligible for Class
6b status pursuant to the Cook County Real Property Classification is
hereby endorsed by the Evanston City Council with recognition that
assessment reduction is necessary for development of this real estate to
occur.
Section 3. That the City of Evanston hereby supports and consents that
• said site receive Class 6b status from the Cook County Assessor pursuant
to said Resolution.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
