HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-2005-031-R-05hV -- s 4 kC 4-19-05 31-R-05 A RESOLUTION Canvassing the Results of the Consolidated Municipal Election Held on April 5, 2005, and Declaring the Results of Said Election WHEREAS, on the Fifth day of April, 2005, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose of electing a Mayor, a City Clerk, and one Alderman for each Ward, each to serve a full four (4) year term: and WHEREAS, on the Fifth day of April, 2005, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Township of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois, for the purpose of electing a Supervisor and an Assessor, and each to serve a full four (4) year term: and WHEREAS, said Consolidated Election was regularly called in the manner provided by law: and • WHEREAS, the official Canvassing Board consisting of the Mayor, the City Clerk and the First Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Evanston, and the Senior Township Trustee, Township Supervisor and Town Clerk for the Town of the City of Evanston, find from the returns of said Consolidated Election that the following votes were cast for candidates indicated: Board Report of Canvassina To the members of the City Council of the City of Evanston, Illinois: The undersigned, having been duly notified by City Clerk Mary P. Morris, to canvass the vote in the City Election held at the Consolidated Election on April 5, 2005, for the purpose of electing City officials for the City of Evanston and reports that it has canvassed the vote with respect to said election and reports the results as follows: (See Exhibit A) SECTION 1 That by reason of said vote, the City Council declares that Lorraine H. Morton has been duly elected to a full four (4) year term as Mayor of the City of Evanston, SECTION 2 That by reason of said vote, the City Council declares that Mary P. Morris has been duly elected to a full four (4) year term as Clerk of the City of Evanston, 0 SECTION 3 That by reason of said vote, the City Council declares the following to have been duly elected to full four (4) year terms as Aldermen in the Wards is indicated: (a) that Cheryl Wollin has been duly elected Alderman of the First Ward for a full four (4) year term; (b) that Lionel Jean -Baptiste has been duly elected Alderman of the Second Ward for a full four (4) year term; (c) that Melissa A. Wynne has been duly elected Alderman of the Third Ward for a full four (4) year term; (d) that Steven J. Bernstein has been duly elected Alderman of the of the Fourth Ward for a full four (4) year term; (e) that Delores A. Holmes has been duly elected Alderman of the of the Fifth Ward for a full four (4) year term; (f) that Edmund B. Moran, Jr., has been duly elected Alderman of the Sixth Ward for a full four (4) year term; (g) that Elizabeth B. Tisdahl has been duly elected Alderman of the Seventh Ward for a full four (4) year term; (h) that Ann Rainey has been duly elected Alderman of the Eighth Ward for a full four (4) year term; (i) that Anjana Hansen has been duly elected Alderman of the Ninth Ward for a full • four (4) year term; SECTION 4 That by reason of said vote, the Town Board of Trustees declares that Patricia A. Vance has been duly elected to a full four (4) year term as Supervisor of the Town of the City of Evanston. SECTION 5 That by reason of said vote, the Town Board of Trustees declares that Sharon Eckersall has been duly elected to a full four (4) year term as Assessor of the Town of the City of Evanston. SECTION 6 That this Resolution is hereby made a permanent part of the records of the City Council and the Town Board of Trustees of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois.
