HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-2004-017-R-04• 04/02/2004 17-R-04 A RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Sign a Joint Agreement with the Village of Wilmette For the Isabella Street Resurfacing Project WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Village of Wilmette and the City of Evanston that Isabella Street from East Railroad Avenue (Poplar Avenue) to the CTA Tracks in the City of Evanston and Village of Wilmette is to be improved by providing the necessary roadway improvements and utility improvements so as to provide for a new roadway surface and curbs. Included in this improvement is the extension of the • Village of Wilmette water main system, and spot repair on the sewer system for the City of Evanston as well as the Village of Wilmette. WHEREAS, Isabella Street in the aforementioned area is partially in the Village of Wilmette and partially in the City of Evanston; and WHEREAS, the Village of Wilmette and the City of Evanston agree to participate in the construction costs; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has prepared plans, specifications, and estimates of cost for said improvement, and has agreed to construct said improvement; and WHEREAS, the City of Evanston will pay for the actual costs of resurfacing, sewer spot repair, curbs and the intersection returns lying within the City of Evanston; 40 and 17-R-04 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined it is in the • best interests of the City of Evanston to enter said Joint Agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign and the City Clerk hereby authorized to attest to the Joint Agreement with the Village of Wilmette for the Isabella Street Resurfacing Project, attached as Exhibit A. SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate any additional conditions of the Joint Agreement as may be determined to be in the best interests of the City. SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided b law. • Lorraine H.
