HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-2004-001-R-04• 1-R-04 A RESOLUTION Amending the 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2003 Community Development Block Grant Programs and Authorizing the Reallocation of Unexpended Funds from those Program Years WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council, with passage of Resolutions 9-R-96, 5- R-97, 1-R-02, and 3-R-03, did direct the City Manager to file applications for Community Development Block Grant program activities with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, the aforesaid applications were approved by HUD; and WHEREAS, after implementation and completion of certain Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG) activities, unexpended funds are available for reallocation to other eligible CDBG activities; and • WHEREAS, reallocation of said funds requires amendment of the City's previous applications; and WHEREAS, the City's Housing and Community Development Act Committee did hold a public meeting on November 18, 2003 to hear public opinion on said proposed reallocations according to the CDBG Program's Citizen Participation Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION 1: That the City's 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2003 applications for Community Development Block Grant program activities are hereby amended and the following reallocations totaling $145,832 are approved for reallocation to the City's 2004/05 CDBG program: Proeram Year Proiect Amount 1996/97 Fleetwood/Jourdain Auditorium Floor $ 8,669 1997/98 Fleetwood/Jourdain Bleacher Replacement $ 9,665 • Fleetwood/Jourdain Asbestos Removal 1.821 $ 11,486 2002-03 CDBG Administration Community Development Administration Housing Code Compliance Housing Rehab Administration Graffiti Removal Housing Advocacy Minority Business Program Subtotal for 2002/03 2003-04 ECDC Loan Payment 1-R-04 $ 13,679 608 56,744 17,307 1,068 19,143 16,828 $125,377 $ 300 TOTAL AMOUNT PROPOSED FOR REALLOCATION to the FY 2004/05 CDBG PROGRAM: $145,832 SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
