A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to
Enter Into Renewal of a Contract With the
Evanston Athletic Club to Provide a Health,
Fitness and Wellness Program for the
City of Evanston Levy Senior Center
WHEREAS, the City published Request for Proposals for a Comprehensive Health,
Fitness, and Wellness Program for the City of Evanston Levy Senior Center in the Spring
of 2002; and
WHEREAS, the City Council selected the Evanston Athletic Club ("EAC") to provide
said services; and
• WHEREAS, the City of Evanston ("the City") and the EAC entered a contract for
EAC to provide said services that would extend from June 1, 2002 through February 28,
2003; and
WHEREAS, an Addendum to the contract provided a mutual option to renew for two
additional one-year contracts; and
WHEREAS, the City and EAC desire to exercise said option to renew said contract
to be effective March 1, 2003 through February 28, 2004, with one additional option to
renew for a one-year period at the end of February 28, 2004,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
• SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sign, and
the City Clerk hereby authorized and directed to attest on behalf of the City of Evanston,

a renewal of a contract between the City and EAC to provide a Comprehensive Health,
Fitness and Wellness Program for the Levy Senior Center. Such Agreement shall be in
substantial conformity with the Agreement marked as Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to negotiate
any additional terms and conditions of the contract as may be determined to be in the best
interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval in the manner provided b law.
