A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the City Manager to Sign an
Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of Wilmette For
Resurfacing of Glenview Road
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Village of Wilmette that Glenview
Road from Skokie Boulevard to Wilmette Avenue will be resurfaced in conjunction with
the 2002 Road Program; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries between the City of Evanston and the Village of
Wilmette run down the centerline of the roadway, for a portion of Glenview Road; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Wilmette has agreed to improve that half of the
• roadway situated within the City of Evanston; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of the resurfacing project, as submitted by
the lowest bidder (TBD), is $1,500,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of Evanston has agreed to pay for the actual cost of
resurfacing and associated work that occurs within the City of Evanston, which has
been estimated to be $31,800; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evanston has determined it is in the
best interests of the City of Evanston to enter said Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
0 SECTION 1: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign and the City
Clerk hereby authorized to attest to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the Village of

Wilmette for part of the resurfacing of Glenview Road from Skokie Boulevard to
Wilmette Avenue, attached as Exhibit A. •
SECTION 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
negotiate any additional conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement as may be
determined to be in the best interests of the City.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
