HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1999-028-R-9928-R-99 • A RESOLUTION Amending the 1996, 1998 and 1999 Community Development Block Grant Programs and Authorizing the Reallocation of Unexpended Funds and Project Contingency Funds to 1999 Public Improvement Projects WHEREAS, the City Council, with passage of 9-R-96, 4-R-98, and 4-R-99 did approve the City's applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement funds; and did direct the City Manager to file said applications with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, said applications for CDBG funds were submitted and approved by HUD; and WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to carry out several 1999 Public Improvements projects; and • WHEREAS, there are unexpended as well as undesignated CDBG funds which can be used to supplement the Public Improvements projects budgets; and WHEREAS, reallocation of said funds would require that the City's CDBG program budgets and Consolidated Plans be amended; and; WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee did hold a public meeting on April 13, 1999 to hear public opinion on said reallocations according to the CDBG program Citizen Participation Plan and approved said reallocations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois: SECTION 1: That the City's 1996, 1998 and 1999 applications for Community Development Block Grant programs are hereby amended and the following reallocations to the 1999/2000 CDBG program are authorized: 28-R-99 From: • 1998/99 Curb/Sidewalk Replacement Program $15,342 To: 1999/2000 Curb/Sidewalk Replacement Program $15,342 From: 1996/97 Project Contingency Fund (ULO) $25,000 To: 1999/2000 Street Paving - Davis Street west of Dewey $25,000 From: 1996/97 Project Contingency Fund (ULO) $ 6,208 1999/2000 Project Contingency Fund (ULO) 2.792 $ 9,000 To: 1999/2000 Alley Resurfacing Program $ 9,000 SECTION 2: That the City's Consolidated Plans and CDBG program budgets be amended • to reflect the aforesaid reallocations. SECTION 3: That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
