HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS-1994-049-R-94• 49-R-94 A RESOLUTION UPON THE DEATH OF ROSEMARY B. PABST WHEREAS, ROSEMARY B. PABST departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 1994; and WHEREAS, ROSEMARY B. PABST served as Alderman of the First Ward from April, 1983 to April 1985; and WHEREAS, during her tenure as Alderman she served as Chair and Member of the Human Services Committee, the City -Chamber Liaison Committee, and the City -School Liaison Committee; and WHEREAS, during her long residence in Evanston, she was a founding member of the Dewey Community Conference and the Northlight Theatre Board of Trustees, and served on Northlight Advisory Board, as well as helping to found the Foster Reading Center, Citizen's Information Service and the Evanston Council for Catholic Education; was the first lay president of the St. Mary's School Board, served as a member and president of the St. Mary's School PTA and was an active member of the • Cradle Society and the Preservation League; and WHEREAS, ROSEMARY B. PABST served the citizens of her ward, as well as the citizens of the entire City of Evanston with distinction, giving most liberally of her time, energy and ability. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Evanston on behalf of itself, the Mayor, the City Clerk, City Manager, City Officials and the residents of this community, expresses its heartfelt grief and sense of loss at the passing of its former colleague and friend, ROSEMARY B. PABST. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be made a part of the permanent record of the City of Evanston and that a copy, executed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk, be presented to the members of her bereaved family.
