A RESOLUTION
Amending the 1992-93
Community Development Block Grant Program
Authorizing the Reallocation of Unspecified Local Option Funds
to the Fleet wood/Jourdain Entryway Rehabilitation
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council with passage of Resolution 5-R-92
approved the application for 1992-93 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Entitlement funds and directed the City Manager to file said application with the
United States Department of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development approved such application; and
WHEREAS, the Evanston City Council appropriated $15,000 in 1992-93
Community Development Block Grant funds for the Fleetwood/Jourdain Entryway
Rehabilitation project; and
WHEREAS, the City has received bids for the rehabilitation of the
Fleet wood/Jourdain Entryway, all being over the budget for the project; and
WHEREAS, funds were set aside in the contingency component (Unspecified
Local Option) of the 1992-93 Community Development Block Grant Program to meet
unanticipated funding needs; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Department requests that $7,943 in 1992-93
Unspecified Local Option (ULO) funds be allocated for the rehabilitation of the
Fleetwood/Jourdain Entryway; and
WHEREAS, allocation of said funds would require that the City of
Evanston's 1992-93 Community Development Block Grant Program be revised; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Act Committee
conducted a public meeting on February 9, 1993 to hear public opinion on said
reallocation and recommended at that meeting that the reallocation request be
granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EVANSTON, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, hereby amends its 1992-93
Community Development Block Grant Program and authorizes the- following
reallocation:

TO: Fleetwood/Jourdain Entryway Rehabilitation $7,943

SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after the date of its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
